The story of Elijah and Elisha has everything to do with the passing of the mantle. Elijah wasn’t yet finished with his ministry, but the time had come to commission his successor. Pastor Jeff says today that when God tells you it’s time to begin passing on the work you have been doing for the Kingdom, that doesn’t mean you’re no longer useful or needed. What it does mean is that you have the opportunity to raise someone up, and help them do greater things than you could have on your own.
