Exchanging one thing for another is the backbone of human society. You usually need to offer something of equal value to purchase something from someone else. But salvation is something that you cannot hope to buy on your own, you need someone else to buy it for you. Pastor Jeff reminds you today that God did that exact thing by sending Jesus to be the sacrifice for your sins. Jesus’ blood paid for your salvation, and the good works you do in life can’t repay Him for that gift.
